Doug is the Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Mary Washington. He is the conductor and director of the UMW Jazz Ensemble, Concert Band, Flute Ensemble and various Chamber Music groups. He is the principle instructor of applied studies in flute, clarinet, saxophone, and jazz piano.
