JAZZ4JUSTICE™ – IN THE POCKET
The Christopher Newport University Jazz Ensemble, along with special guest musician Jae Sinnett will present a concert on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 7:00pm in Peebles Hall, Ferguson Center for the Arts on the campus of Christopher Newport University.

ABOUT JAZZ4JUSTICE™
In 2000, Fairfax attorney Ed Weiner attended a student jazz recital. He was impressed by the music, but distressed by the small audience. As the President of the Fairfax Law Foundation, he saw an opportunity for a new partnership – universities would provide the musical talent and the local Bar Association would provide the audience and sponsors. Today, Jazz4Justice™ concerts are held throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Thus far, Jazz4Justice™ has raised over $400,000 for music scholarships and an array of educational and charitable services benefiting Virginia’s local communities. Jazz4Justice™ has received awards from the American and Virginia State Bar Associations. This March, we are pleased to present the sixth annual Jazz4Justice™ Concert at Christopher Newport University – the product of a unique partnership between the Newport News Bar Association, the Peninsula Bar Association and the Greater Peninsula Women’s Bar Association along with Christopher Newport University. The fundraising event supports the Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia and provides dedicated scholarship and support for the CNU Jazz Program.

He will be featured behind the drumset accompanied by the Christopher Newport University Jazz Ensemble.
