Congratulations to the Greater Richmond Bar Foundation and the VCU Department of Jazz Studies for a successful Jazz4Justice concert on Friday, February 7th, 2020! This year’s guest conductor was Commonwealth’s Attorney Colette McEachin, who dazzled everyone with her sequin coat and energetic conducting.

Weiner, Esq. and Founder of Mason Jazz Studies, Jim Carroll, Jazz4Justice is an award-winning annual concert presented by the Mason Jazz Studies in partnership with Legal Services of Northern Virginia. This year, the band performed several pieces dedicated to Charlie “Bird” Parker and featured Rick Davis as a special guest.

The 2nd Annual Jazz4Justice in Charlottesville took place on April 13th, 2019. The audience was enthusiastic and the students did a fabulous job performing old and new swing style arrangements! This concert featured baritone saxophonist Lauren Sevian and alto saxophonist Pureum Jin. It was a wonderful performance.
